Senior Tech Advisor ("we," "this site") is a reader-supported publication. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the site. This page explains exactly what that means.

What we collect

We do not ask for, or store, any personal information. There are no accounts, newsletters, comment forms, or purchases on this site. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate traffic — which pages are read, roughly where visitors come from, and what devices they use. This data is anonymized and never sold.

Cookies

• Analytics cookies — set by Google Analytics to distinguish visits. You can block these in your browser or with Google's opt-out tool.
• Affiliate cookies — when you click a link to Amazon, Amazon sets a cookie so purchases can be attributed to this site. This is how we earn commissions; it does not change your price. Amazon's own privacy notice governs that data.

Third-party services

This site is served by Cloudflare, uses Google Fonts for typography, and links to Amazon.com. Each of those services may process standard technical data (such as IP addresses) under their own privacy policies. We do not share any data with anyone beyond these operational services.

Children's privacy

This site is intended for general audiences and does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13.
